Behind the Scenes

Behind the Scenes

For all those who asked over the years, this has been a long time coming! Once putting to one side personal hurdles and insecurities, I was able to focus on creating. By the time I returned to those insecurities the transmutable took effect. The -not liking my voice- into believing in my voice (ultimately my truth). Only then, all possibilities presented themselves to me: the studio, producer, publisher and so on. All the links paved my way for this project to magically create itself. Finally offering relaxation, meditation & visualisation recordings.  Enjoy a sample on iTunes and consider purchasing the album by clicking here Or you can use Spotify to listen by clicking here You can also download a booklet to supplemet the recordings by clicking here MASTER relaxation – Niamh Kavanagh However the manifest is never without a challenge.  This one in particular really does make me smile… During the process of publishing I was most enthused to share, yet had to hold back before announcing the release date due to an issue that surfaced and needed clearing. That being, there is another Niamh Kavanagh, who much more famous than I since she won the Eurovision song contest back in the late eighties and still an existing artist. So when it came to publishing my album on line, the matrix automatically synch our name as One. She being far more dominant, took precedence over myself that result in not only my album listing among hers, but also portrayed by her profile & photos, despite copyright of artwork credentials. Guessing the other Niamh Kavanagh has no idea of my existence, this is not the first time her name catapult events in my life. Going back in time, when Dad left us when my sister and I were 2/3 years Earth age.  There was no contact from him.  Non At All.  Until i was 16.  I remember very clearly as I stood in the background, listening to my Mother engage with the person on the other end of the phone… my Dad. He called to ask was it me who won the Eurovision song contest?  A little insensitive perhaps, but I never perceived my Dad a...

Seals & Rainbows

Seals & Rainbows

Often called to remote space where passing souls are few and far between, I tread around the edge of land, it’s gradients give sensation of earths curvature. To my suprise this windswept walk into wilderness became alive with a thriving colony of seals. Suddenly, Im not alone.   Through barrel turns of roaring waves they launch themselves onto shore. They lay busy relaxing, unfazed by lively events around them. The background whirl of wind fuelling the ocean air, stirring ferocious swirls.   High winds snatch a seagulls catch, it drops into the sea. Manages to swoop, catch and drop again. Breath taking moments, I am excited and devistated as Mr. Seagull who hard at play wins and loses in the perpetual push and pull of survival. As I walk on, each footstep draws me deeper into the home of the wild, onto an extended sandy sofa where hundreds of seal’s are basking. Me a spectator or intruder? I wonder who looks at who while encroaching their living space. Though it didn’t stop the seals turn up their magnetism, coaxing me miles along the costal stretch of North Atlantic.   Enchanted by moving lumps of rubbery banana shaped mammals where upon witnessing a seal give birth to her cup, it had come to light I’d arrived in their breeding area. Marvelling at this unforeseen gift nature present. Respectively, I move on. Swiftly, so not to disturb the mothers sniff of her new pup the first 30 minutes of it being born. This association between her pup and its smell is crucial. The pups poor co-ordination would result in death due to its abandonment, should the mother be disturbed.   All this beneath a sky of rainbows. While both lifes miracles and cruelty meet, it becomes easier to appreciate thus fall deeper in love with life. Not seeking for anything more other than being in the raw elements, the feeling as it touch my bare skin. As David Bowie said, “For my love is like the wind, and wild is the wind. Let the wind blow through your heart. For wild is the wind”. What a glory to witness and immerse...

When darkness descends…

When darkness descends…

With the long & drawn out winter soon to arrive appearing to shroud the light of day, a meditative practice of hridaya yoga ignites even the most dimmest of light in our hearts through drawing on the breath. Although cold & blustery elements push us into hibernation with the feeling of withdrawing into the night, this time spent wisely allows absorption, where within the great dome of our ribs we connect more deeply with ourselves. By using the breath to caress the inner walls of our chest we ignite the fire of our hearts. Just like blowing on the embers, we hear the warm voice of our soul light up the fire of our hearts. This listening is a nurturing. This absorbption is one of transmuting unwanted emotions of lonliness, darkness, sadness, depression into lighter thoughts and emotions. Remember, the brightest light is seen in the dark. Hridaya yoga is taught every Monday eve 7pm & The Palmhouse Please follow and like...

Self healing Womb

Self healing Womb

Posted by on Jun 4, 2017 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Out beyond ideas of right doing and wrong doing There is a field.I will meet you there. Rumi This is not to promote self healing nor deny medical treatment favouring one better than the other, each having their own meaning and purpose honouring different needs in different times. This is for you as women to become more aware of all options available. Listening to the Body About a year ago I sensed I had an ovarian cyst, the first step was to validate self diagnosis with a medical one. Once confirmed through ultra sound, next was to explore all treatments available conventional and alternative. Then, finally taking confident steps. The most extreme treatment offered surgery. After tuning into the listening body such incisions felt harsh and intrusive on the energetic structure. This prompt further inquiry to self heal within the broad spectrum of tools yoga offers, when awakening of the Divine Feminine spoke to me. By the way, healing in yoga is accidental. Healing is discovered through energy manifestation during the aspiring and seeking of the Self; its findings are vast. One must be a bit of a free thinker to wish to experience the true self, to believe such a thing is possible. In the same way the edge of land is met by a wall of fog clouding vision beyond, where out of sight, the great expanse of a dynamic moving ocean exists. What is hidden is pure raw energy. Only the sound of the oceans breath a telling of this greater mystery. In the same way we can listen to the voice of the soul via communication of sensory awareness. To stretch beyond such boundaries of conventional thought and belief we can meet in a space – beyond the mind – where the true healer is. Where in-between the physical outline of what seemingly separates you-from-me emerges a connectedness and reveals a wisdom. There is knowingness, an understanding that healing and growth require moving beyond separation. The Power of Women Consider the collective consciousness of what women have witness and endure since the beginning of time and how this influences the psyche of the womb. Her...
