Whats your favourite position?

Whats your favourite position?

Lying down. Its every ones favourite position. In the 14 years Ive been teaching, time and time again I hear the space echo with the whispers YES, and see the faces of relief when the moment arrives for relaxation, in laying down position. When you are relaxed your entire life can change because you start seeing more, your senses become more alive, awareness opens right up and flashes in all faces of mirrors around you. You start seeing differently and creating in a new way. And what may have bothered or upset you before, suddenly doesn’t effect you as much. If your like most people you’ll find it difficult how to relax or even sleep: peacefully. Pressured by things to do, (the feeling of you have-to-do), feeling bad for not doing more, comparing yourself to others, not good enough, circling over the past worrying about the future, the list goes on. I hear this all the time. You really are not alone. I know how you feel, especially this time of year when natures seasons show us who is boss, leaving you no choice but do as winter does. Retreat with short daylight hours, you slow down, even stop. Your mind wants to do, but body feels sluggish, nothing is happening in your life but going through the motions to ‘get through’ what you even call winter blues. Lets just contemplate for a moment on the gifts that arise when this sense of naturalness wants you to draw inward with the long nights. Instead of identifying with low energy, is this not the perfect time to let go and relax? By allowing yourself to relax and pause in life, brings about a reflective state, to see the depth inside. Maybe long nights really do confuse your body and mind having unspent energy. Instead of tussling with this push and pull you can turn this around entirely. By taking yourself in a state of relaxation first, where creative power pours through, then you can squash procrastination and direct all your focus on that project you dream about. When contentment and joy are revealed, that is the moment you can turn...

Whats Locking and not Looking?

Whats Locking and not Looking?

Posted by on Feb 15, 2018 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Fear is always about something that has not happened and it stops life. When  you take steps into the unknown, leave behind the safe walls of what you know, challenges will surface. See them as illusion. You say “It feels scary” Fear is an illusion -always about stuff that has not happened- its a projection. Although, is becomes very real when dealing with strong emotions that surface from fear, in re-act–ion.  When you make change, don’t let fear stop and lock you into mundane patterns that keep you asleep. Fear wakes you up. Keeps our senses thriving alive. So, stand strong like a mountain. Tell yourself  there is no turning back and continue, learn how to rest in these moments of re-act-ion and continue, live your life, take more risks. Fears and phobias are never about the subject itself but projections of our hidden insecurities. Fear creates illusionary situations for you to avoid facing that insecurity OR deceives you into making fear-based decisions that present more problems. Its just something the mind does to lock you from looking at you. The best way to refine these feelings and reactions are to approach when the mind is in a state of relaxation. When the mind relaxes you can heal, you can breathe into freedom and  you can move past fear. Labels comes from identification. By identifying with a certain feeling you start believing, thus become. A phobia is a projection of a much deeper fear hidden in the subconscious. Often starts from childhood memory labeled as a bad experience, or something you decided you now don’t like based on that one time experience. The more resistance to the object/person/event overtime, the bigger the projection. As it amplifies and forms itself into psycho drama, stopping you in life. On one hand fear can be a great helper and save your life, on the other fear can keep you locked in the illusion of being safe, so you avoid things in life, keeping you behind closed doors and from many beautiful new experiences in life. We all express our fears differently from each other. Some internal where your psycho drama implodes, attacking you....

Relaxing in front of TV or with a beer?

Relaxing in front of TV or with a beer?

The only person stopping you from relaxing is you. Relaxing is not sitting in front of the TV or having a beer in the bar.  These are activities that pour data into and stimulate the psyche, the opposite to relaxing. True relaxation allows you to access your internal reservoir for absorption of fresh energy. Im talking about a deep relaxation beyond cellular level where you detach from and strip back all disturbances of the mind – such as worry, tensions, fears, unwanted memories that hold you back – into the core of your being, which is radiant by the way, abundant with fresh energy. The moment your eyes open in the morning, data starts streaming into your consciousness. What thoughts you put your attention on, pretty much determines your day. So if bad thoughts / ideas disturb, why not follow positive, good ones? The same applies with a bad dream, if you are easily disturbed, you will be required to work a little more, to shift your attention to more positive uplifting thoughts and actions. If unpleasant experiences in the past continue in the present, only you can be responsible to start making change for your future. By applying thoughts and emotions positively as explained in meditation of master relaxation you can transmute the negative ones. Those on a self realisation path aspire to sattvic living for the refining of thoughts and emotions when meditating. The reason why, its positive enhancements supports by dissolving old patterns and unwanted habits that surface from the subconscious mind. Diet is relative since tamas can be present in the food as well as mental pollution. For example, its obvious you wouldn’t have an espresso shot before going got sleep at night because of it stimulating effect and strain on the endocrine and nervous system, so why then should it be any different that you watch a horror or disturbing programme on the TV before going to bed? Your mind ingests and digests in the same way food does. By becoming more aware of such influences in day to day living and change what you absorb you can start to take responsibility of your wellbeing....

How to Commit to the Magic of your Being

How to Commit to the Magic of your Being

Posted by on Feb 15, 2018 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

The magic of your being is always there. It just feels it deserted you, because you neglected the magic of your being with chores and slaves for money. In this time, a little bit of self polishing is needed so it can shine back through you. “Work diligently. Diligently. Work patiently and persistently. Patiently and persistently. And you’re bound to be successful. Bound to be successful.” Goenka 3 things you will need to do to commit to the magic of your being: 1. Attention Make a date with you. Develop self intimacy. Wether it’s relaxation, yoga practice or meditation, start preparing the space, bringing to attention all the things you need to make this happen. For example blankets, dim lights, yoga matt, music, dress comfortably, mobile off (you don’t want distraction).  2. Intention Develop emotional connection with what you want to commit to. Create time by exchanging nights out or watching TV to connect with the magic of your being. See yourself play out the action of the yoga sequence, meditation, walk in nature and so on. Imagine through body mind sensation how it would feel, see the changes, strengths, good feeling and benefits it brings about, feel it in your being now. See yourself relaxed, peaceful and glowing. 3. Action. Do it. All the above prepares action from procrastination sneaking up on you. Your action then becomes an inspiration for others to also commit to the magic of their being. Commitment cultivates discipline. Discipline needs attention: attention to intention. Intention is conscious choice, giving more power to the action. Conscious choice is best made when in Sattva This alone, subtly opens doors of  possibilities. Even when stuck or unhappy in a place, home or job for years, change is so very possible. When all is seemingly going nowhere, life still flows forward for you too, its just about shifting back into rhythm, rhythm of your flow. An all important telling here is knowing how to let go. This is a big one because the heart knows what is best, but where there is imbalance between head and heart, the internal tussle to-and- fro consumes you, time passes by. It seems to...

Bound or Free?

Bound or Free?

Sattva, Rajas and Tamas are qualities of The Three Gunas: the general spirit of who you are and what you do. They determine how you see and what you think about yourself. They make up your thoughts, moods, dreams, sleep, eat, dress, work, choice of friends, inevitably how you act. Your life validates this by continuing patterns through qualities of Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. They exist behind, within and around you (physical and subtle bodies). They can devastate, bound or free you. Qualities of Sattva: Truth, pure, light, state of peace, harmony, equilibrium, balance, joy and intelligence. More receptive to higher knowledge and thinking, absorption. The Energy source that flows through when you meditate are seen and experienced. Synchronicity starts to appear. Life flows. Qualities of Rajas: Movement, action, change, attachment, ‘over’ doing things, reactivity, confused (on waking and sleeping). Qualities of Tamas: Darkness, inertia, inactivity and materiality, doubts, negativity, procrastination, cant think properly, ignorance, stop thinking, shut things out, stopping movement and stops movement of truth, dark destruction chaos. Truth Sattva is in rajas and tamas for every movement and experience you learn from; you see truth but only enough to get by. Getting by is not enough. As sattva being pure- with lots of it – you become more creative, inspiring and infectious for others. However, sattva must also be overcome, so you can be free and say goodbye to them all. To be free and go beyond – is to still the mind, in that momnent – they are gone. Stillness of the mind Here the channel opens for sattva to pass through. It is that space time continuum of all knowledge and information of all that has been and is to come. No past, present future is expereinced. At this point of consciousness of Oneness you have access to ask questions, though may not be immediate, answers arise. Be aware of subtleties and synchronicities. Meditation, why do it? When you meditate you pause and this lets you see and be in the present moment. This pause gives you a break from patterns and negativity. During this respite phase space arises for the dissolution of old patterns (in...
