Whats your favourite position?

Whats your favourite position?

Posted by on Feb 15, 2018 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Lying down Its every ones favourite position. In the 14 years Ive been teaching, time and time again I hear echoes within the space I teach, whisper YES! And I see faces of relief when the moment arrives for relaxation in lying down position. Its the moment everyone waits for yet, seems the most difficlut to do. That is because there is an art to relaxing, that demands practise. And I can show you how. When you are relaxed your entire life can change because you start seeing more, your senses become more alive. Awareness opens right up and flashes in all faces of mirrors around you. Denial ceases. You start seeing differently and creating in a new way.  And what may have bothered or upset you before, suddenly doesn’t effect you as much. If your like most people you’ll find it difficult how to relax or even sleep: peacefully. Pressured by things to do, (the feeling of you have-to-do), feeling bad for not doing more, comparing yourself to others, not good enough, circling over the past worrying about the future, the list goes on. I see and hear these challenges amoung others all the time. You really are not alone. I know how you feel, especially this time of year when natures seasons show us who is boss, leaving you no choice but do as winter does. To retreat with the short daylight hours, you slow down, even stop. Your mind wants to do, but body feels sluggish, nothing is happening in your life but you go through the motions to ‘get through’ what you even call winter blues. Lets just contemplate for a moment on those gifts that arise when this sense of naturalness wants you to draw inward with the long nights. Instead of identifying with low energy, is this not a perfect time to let go and relax? By allowing yourself to relax and pause in life, brings about a reflective state, to see the depth inside. Once experiencing and cultivating more of this, those things on the outside that stress, or worry you, are expreinced very differntly. Maybe long nights really do confuse your...

Whats Locking and not Looking?

Whats Locking and not Looking?

Posted by on Feb 15, 2018 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Fear is always about something that has not happened and yet it stops life or, your preferred way of living (if even aware of this).   “It’s just something the mind does to lock you from looking at you”.   Mind ceates a false sense of secutiy; a temporary form of survival. When you take steps into the unknown and leave behind the safe walls of what you know, challenges will surface, try not to be preturbed by these. You say “I’m too scared.” Try to see any fears rising as an illusion, since it’s about stuff that has not happened it has to be a projection of the mind. Although, I do understand when illusions appear how real it feels. “By identifying with a certain feeling you start believing, thus become.” Consequently dealing with strong emotions that fear creates which are re-ACT-ions. Emotions played out are for sure no fun, especially when developed into panick or anxiety attacks. This is no fun at all. There are ways to approach this. By very simply seeing through a different perspective.  literally and visually.   “You can start to embrace, open, even play with your fears.”   When you start taking steps for change, don’t let fear stop you from locking into acts of emotion creating a false sense of security, keeping you in mundane patterns of sleep. Fear is there to wake you up! Once you’ve learned how to switch them to the positive you will marvel at how they fuel and charge into a positive. You will have to find the strength inside, which you have, and stand strong like a mountain. Tell yourself  there is no turning back and continue learning to rest in moments of reaction and continue. Eventually, you will remain neutral and nonreactive so you can live your life with the opportunities it presents.   “If your circuitry patterns keep you avoiding fears, start to use them, dont avoid them. They spark our senses and thrive aliveness”.   Fears and phobias are never about the subject itself but projections of our hidden insecurities. Fear creates illusionary situations for you to avoid facing that insecurity OR deceives...

Relaxing in front of TV or with a beer?

Relaxing in front of TV or with a beer?

Posted by on Feb 15, 2018 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

The only person stopping you from relaxing is you. Relaxing is not sitting in front of the TV or having a beer in the bar.  These activities are forms of escapism, brainwashing or social influences that stimulate and pour more data into the psyche, which is the opposite to relaxing. True relaxation allows you to access your internal reservoir for absorption of fresh energy. Im talking about a deep relaxation beyond cellular level where you detach from and strip back all disturbances of the mind, into the core of your being, which is radiant by the way, abundant with fresh energy. Disturbances such as worry, tensions, fears, unwanted thoughts and feelings, emotions, memories that hold you back. The moment your eyes open in the morning, data starts streaming into your consciousness. What thoughts you put your attention on, pretty much determines your day. So if bad thoughts and ideas disturb you, why not follow positive, good ones? The same applies with a bad dream, if you are easily disturbed you will be required to work a little more, to shift your attention to more positive uplifting thoughts and actions. If unpleasant experiences of the past continue in the present, only you can be responsible to start making change for your future. By applying thoughts and emotions positively as explained in meditation of master relaxation you can transmute the negative ones. Those on a self realisation path aspire to sattvic living for the refining of thoughts and emotions when meditating. The reason why is becuase its positive enhancements support the journey by dissolving old patterns and unwanted habits that surface from the subconscious mind. Your mind ingests and digests in the same way your body does Diet is also relative since tamas can be present in food as well as mental pollution. For example, its obvious you wouldn’t have an espresso shot before going to sleep at night because of it stimulating effect and strain on the endocrine and nervous system putting you in a jittery and wired frenzy. So why then should it be any different that you watch a horror or disturbing programme on the TV before going to...

How to Commit to the Magic of your Being

How to Commit to the Magic of your Being

Posted by on Feb 15, 2018 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

The magic of your being is always there. It just feels like it deserted you, because you neglected the magic of your being with chores and slaves for money. But thats okay, in these times, a little bit of self polishing is needed so it can shine back through you. “Work diligently. Diligently. Work patiently and persistently. Patiently and persistently. And you’re bound to be successful. Bound to be successful.” Goenka 3 things you will need to do to commit to the magic of your being: 1. Attention: Make a date with you. Develop self intimacy. Wether it’s relaxation, yoga practice or meditation, start preparing the space, bringing to attention all the things you need to make this happen. For example blankets, dim lights, yoga matt, music, dress comfortably, mobile off (you don’t want distraction). 2. Intention: Develop emotional connection with what you want to commit to. Create time by exchanging nights out or watching TV to connect with the magic of your being. See yourself play out the action of the yoga sequence, meditation, walk in nature and so on. Imagine through body mind sensation how it would feel, see the changes, strengths, good feeling and benefits it brings about, feel it in your being now. See yourself relaxed, peaceful and glowing. 3. Action: Do it. All the above prepares action from procrastination sneaking up on you. Your action then becomes an inspiration for others to also commit to the magic of their being.   Commitment cultivates discipline. Discipline needs attention: attention to intention. Intention is conscious choice, giving more power to the action. Conscious choice is best made when in Sattva This alone, subtly opens doors of  possibilities.   Even when stuck or unhappy in a place, home or job for years, change is so very possible. When all is seemingly going nowhere, life still flows forward for you too, its just about shifting back into rhythm, rhythm of your flow; so you can recognise again the magic or your being. An all important telling here is knowing how to let go. This is a big one because the heart always knows what is best, but where there...

Bound or Free?

Bound or Free?

Posted by on Feb 14, 2018 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Sattva, Rajas and Tamas are qualities of The Three Gunas: the general spirit of who you are and what you do. They determine how you see and what you think about yourself. They make up your thoughts, moods, dreams, sleep, eat, dress, work, choice of friends, inevitably how you act. Your life validates this by continuing patterns through qualities of Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. They exist behind, within and around you (physical and subtle bodies). They can devastate, bound or free you. Qualities of Sattva: Truth, pure, light, state of peace, harmony, equilibrium, balance, joy and intelligence. More receptive to higher knowledge and thinking, absorption. The Energy source that flows through when you meditate are seen and experienced. Synchronicity starts to appear. Life flows. Qualities of Rajas: Movement, action, change, attachment, ‘over’ doing things, reactivity, confused (on waking and sleeping). Qualities of Tamas: Darkness, inertia, inactivity and materiality, doubts, negativity, procrastination, cant think properly, ignorance, stop thinking, shut things out, stopping movement and stops movement of truth, dark destruction chaos. Truth Sattva is in rajas and tamas for every movement and experience you learn from; you see truth but only enough to get by. Getting by is not enough. As sattva being pure- with lots of it – you become more creative, inspiring and infectious for others. However, sattva must also be overcome, so you can be free and say goodbye to them all. To be free and go beyond – is to still the mind, in that momnent – they are gone. Stillness of the mind Here the channel opens for sattva to pass through. It is that space time continuum of all knowledge and information of all that has been and is to come. No past, present future is experienced. At this point of consciousness of Oneness you have access to ask questions, though may not be immediate, answers arise. Be aware of these subtleties and synchronicities. Meditation, why do it? When you meditate you pause and this lets you see and be in the present moment. This pause gives you a break from patterns and negativity. During this respite phase space arises for the dissolution of old patterns...

As seen in Yoga Magazine March 2018 Enjoy a sample on iTunes and consider purchasing the album by clicking here Or you can use Spotify to listen by clicking here You can also download a booklet to supplemet the recordings by clicking here MASTER relaxation – Niamh Kavanagh   Master Relaxation behind the scenes… For all those who asked over the years, this has been a long time coming! Once putting to one side personal hurdles and insecurities, I was able to focus on creating. By the time I returned to those insecurities the transmutable took effect. The -not liking my voice- into believing in my voice (ultimately my truth). Only then, all possibilities presented themselves to me: the studio, producer, publisher and so on. All the links paved my way for this project to magically create itself. Finally offering relaxation, meditation & visualisation recordings. However the manifest is never without a challenge. This one in particular really does make me smile… During the process of publishing I was most enthused to share, yet had to hold back before announcing the release date due to an issue that surfaced and needed clearing. That being, there is another Niamh Kavanagh, who much more famous than I since she won the Eurovision song contest back in the late eighties and still an existing artist. So when it came to publishing my album on line, the matrix automatically synch our name as One. She being far more dominant, took precedence over myself that result in not only my album listing among hers, but also portrayed by her profile & photos, despite copyright of artwork credentials. Guessing the other Niamh Kavanagh has no idea of my existence, this is not the first time her name catapult events in my life. So, with a smile and a giggle, I present to you, the real Niamh Kavanagh! Please follow and like...
